What’s more interesting, on top of evading the creature, players also have to stay alive while collecting coins and overcoming various obstacles.
The game was first released for iOS devices in 2011 and was later added to Android and Windows Phone. Shortly after its release, the game gained immense success and positive reviews from critics.
The developer released a sequel called Temple Run 2 after the former game’s success. They even managed to land a collaboration with Disney/Pixar that led to Temple Run: Brave and Temple Run: Oz.
Not only that, but Temple Run also received activity books and a board game. There have also been talks that Warner Bros that they’re looking to make a film adaptation of the game!

2. Subway Surfers

Yet another iconic endless-running game, this game shows the POV of a young graffiti artist who got caught tagging a metro railway and had to run from the inspector and his dog.
Along the way, players have to collect coins, face numerous hurdles, and gain some power-ups to boost their running abilities.
What’s more, you can also collect characters or rewards through special events or by completing missions.
Each character comes with a number of outfits too, so you can choose whichever character look fits you best.
3. Angry Birds

You might have played this legendary mobile game before. Though it has rather simple mechanics, Angry Birds managed to capture the hearts of generations of players.
The game takes a comical style, telling the story of colorful angry birds trying to save their eggs from green-colored pigs.
All you have to complete each level is shoot the angry birds to topple down the pigs, which makes it a perfect game to do when you’re bored in-between commutes.
The success of Angry Birds has led to a sequel, many spin-offs, televised animated series, and two films.
4. PUBG Mobile

PUBG Mobile is a popular battle royale video game. Players parachute down to an island and make use of weapons to remain as the last player standing.
You can fight alone, though most players prefer to do it in teams of twos or fours as a way to spend time with their loved ones.
The game was first released for Android and iOS in 2018, and by December 2022, it has accumulated 1.3 billion downloads and grossed over $9 billion!
Its success led to an Indian version of the game called Battlegrounds Mobile India and a separate game that takes place in the same universe called New State Mobile.
5. Call of Duty Mobile

Call of Duty Mobile takes players in a multiplayer gunning match in which you can gain credits and points to get characters and weapons of your choice.
