Engulfed by refreshing cool mountain air and towering pine trees, this natural destination offers a different side of Bali. Instead of crowded streets, visitors will find serene walking paths, forest landscapes, and a calming atmosphere perfect for unwinding.

For travelers looking for a refreshing escape into nature, this scenic pine forest should be on your travel bucket list.

Locally known as Hutan Pinus Glagalinggah, the pine forest in the Kintamani area is located in Sukawana Village, Bangli. The 50-hectare protected forest is situated between 1,200 and 1,500 meters above sea level.

The temperatures here are consistently cool throughout the day, typically between 15 and 25 degrees Celcius, thanks to its elevation. The fresh mountain air definitely creates a welcome contrast to Bali’s humid coastal areas.

The landscape is characterized by tall rows of pine trees that form natural green canopies, beautifully filtering sunlight through the forest. When the wind blows, the soothing sound of rustling pine leaves adds to the ambiance, making this a popular destination for visitors.

One of the most notable features of the Bali pine forest area is the picturesque path that winds through the trees. Many visitors often refer to it as the “pine forest tunnel” because of the towering trees on both sides that create a dramatic natural corridor.

This road even becomes a favorite spot for photographers, motorcyclists, and travelers looking for an aesthetic spot in Bali. Morning or late afternoon usually provides the best lighting for photos.

However, unlike other tourist parks, the forest focuses entirely on natural beauty and simplicity. That serene ambience is what makes many travelers consider it the best pine forest in Bali, either for relaxation, quiet reflection, or photography.
